Holiday F-U-N.

This year we went to Colorado for Thanksgiving. We had so much fun being with all our family and eating lots of Delicious food! My mom makes the best Thanksgiving meal EVER. And, I have a new favorite pie thanks to my sister Monica. PEAR PIE! So amazing. Sidney really loved being around so many cousins. She started showing her bully side whenever a toy would get taken from her. No mercy. My nieces and nephews are so fun and adorable. We are so glad we were able to make the trip. Well worth it!
After we got back from Thanksgiving, we went to get our Christmas tree. Branson picked out the perfect one and we rode ghetto style all the way home with it strapped onto the Cavi. I didn't even care one little bit either. I was SO happy that we were getting a tree!!! I love it and think it is the most beautiful addition to our home for the Christmas season. Sidney enjoyed "decorating" the tree too! She actually just chewed on the lights, and kept pulling everything off that I was putting on the tree. She can't help herself… it's too beautiful. Everyday I plug in the lights, turn up the Christmas music, and my life is FULL of Holiday cheer!!

Sidney's FIRST Birthday!

Sidney turned one September 11th. We can't believe our little girl has grown up so fast. What a fun year of new things and firsts which I was thankful to experience . I am truly filled with gratitude for a husband who knows the importance of Mothers in the home, and works hard each and everyday providing for our family so I can stay home with Sidney. I find true joy in being a Mother. What a blessing to be home to watch and help Sidney grow and learn mentally, physically, and spiritually. Sidney is so much fun, always doing new things that make us laugh and show us her cute personality. We love her!
We had a little celebration for Sidney's Birthday. It was really just a party for us, since she is only one. We dressed Sidney up in a cute Birthday outfit that I made. We ate BBQ pork sandwiches, coleslaw, chips and salsa and fruit salad. Then, we topped that off with delicious Oreo ice cream cake (made by Branson). It was so fun to have all of our friends over. Thanks to everyone for coming and celebrating Sidney with us and for all the nice gifts and delicious food!

Latest Happenings

We planted our very first tree! We have a lot of work to do on our backyard, but we are excited about the tree and are curious to see how it grows. Thanks to Branson for doing all the hard work and digging the giant hole for the tree. Sidney and I were really good observers!
Branson took Sidney out for her first monsoon rain! She did not quite know what to think of it at first, but then she loved it!

Jocelyn (Branson's sister) came to visit us for a week while her husband was on a fire in California. It was so fun to have her stay with us. It's always nice to have someone else around during the day to hang out with. Sidney loved having her Aunt around. She loves Jocelyn and always wanted to be wherever she was. Thanks for all your help and for coming to see us Joc! We love you and can't wait for your baby to be here!
We had Tara's bridal shower at our house a couple weekends ago. It was so fun! Good times with the girls! We were fortunate enough to attend Tara and Jarom’s sealing on Saturday. What an amazing couple! We love you guys!

Kitchen Cabinets

When we moved into our house, we didn't have any upper cabinets. It has been a long time coming but finally, Branson is finally done building the boxes of the cabinets. Branson still has to build the doors, but that is supposed to be happening this week. After that, a little prime and paint, and they will be beautiful! I love having such a handy husband. He can do any and everything. He is A-mazing!! Thanks for all the hard work Branson. During the process, Sidney loved having no doors on all the lower cabinets so she could get into everything. She also loved playing in an extra cabinet that we had laying around the kitchen. She is so easily entertained. She was also a great helper to her Dad while building!
